Introduction
Hi, I’m Alan O.W. Barnes.
I’m an illustrator, designer, and digital storyteller with a background that spans fine art, marketing, and motion graphics. Most people know my work through Big in Japan and the series of monster illustrations I create for books and online content—but my career has always blended the imaginative with the strategic.
Professionally, I work across digital marketing, book and publication design, social media campaigns, and short-form animated content. I’m comfortable shifting between highly illustrative, stylized artwork and clean, photo-realistic visual design—whatever best serves the message and the audience.
I’m particularly drawn to projects that require both creativity and clarity: communicating a brand’s heart through strong visual storytelling. Over the years I’ve worked with nonprofits, educational institutions, churches, and entrepreneurial brands to help them connect with their audiences through thoughtful, emotionally resonant design.
What excites me about the possibility of working with Rainbow Fertility is the opportunity to contribute to something meaningful—helping people see themselves represented, supported, and celebrated. I’m at my best when the work matters to real people, and when creative expression can reinforce a message of dignity, inclusion, and hope.
Thank you for considering me. I’d love the opportunity to partner with your team and bring your next digital campaign to life.
