ManGrooves

Flight of the Fenghuang

Tiên is thirteen, human, and the luckiest fiddle player alive, because somehow she ended up in the best band in the world. Her bandmates just happen to be a coffee-brewing troll, a centuries-old banshee, a tree who only wants pastries, a feathered dinosaur, and a one-foot-tall alien playing a bass six times his size.

The deal is simple: keep the music great, and keep the secret. Everyone assumes the monster look is just an act. Then a priceless necklace vanishes during a show in Hong Kong, a detective starts asking which of them has wings, and the band finds themselves framed for a crime they didn't commit, alongside an innocent firebird who's about to lose everything.

To clear their names, ManGrooves will have to outplay the most famous folk band on Earth. The first book in the ManGrooves series is a globe-hopping mystery about found family, fair play, and the strange, sturdy magic of a band that has each other's backs.
